HORSEBACK RIDING

Climb aboard your trusty steed and experience the area by horseback. Choose from 2 different tours, suitable for all ages:

OPTION #1 – One-Hour Jungle and Ocean View – Departing from Playa Ocotal, you’ll ride the mountain ridgeline to see a stunning view of the whole Papagayo Bay with wildlife and monkeys often sighted, for approximately 1 hour. Great for younger kids to ride with a parent.  $75USD/pp

OPTION #2 – Two-Hour Beach & Jungle Ride – Departing from Playa Ocotal, you’ll ride the mountain ridgeline to see a stunning view of the whole Papagayo Bay, then through the jungle to ride on the beach with wildlife and monkeys usually sighted. Splash in the waves with your horse if you wish. This is our most popular ride. $100USD/pp

Our partner horseback riding center is a charitable organization; they use funds raised from these horseback rides to provide free community services including residential trauma and addiction recovery, equine therapy for children with handicaps, feeding the homeless, and teaching English to locals so they can get better jobs.

IMPORTANT AGE & WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS!

• Children 6 years and older may ride their own horse and have the option to be led by a guide. Under 6 years old may go on rides in the saddle with an adult, but please note that due to the risk involved, rates are per person, not per horse.
• Maximum weight is 260 pounds, or 115 kilos.
• Helmets are available upon request but not required.
