LA LEONA WATERFALL HIKE
Overview
La Leona Waterfall has quickly become a favorite amongst visitors. This stunning turquoise waterfall sits deep in the forest, inside a stunning canyon. You’ll start your hike from the trail center and enjoy a 2-hour hike alongside and through the waters of Rio Blanco. Watch for wildlife, traverse forest ladders, and then swim to the volcanic rock canyon where the waterfall empties. The total hike is about 4km (2.6 miles) and would be considered a moderate hike. After the hike, you’ll enjoy a typical lunch.
